Africa is responsible for running and developing Vertis’ aviation business line, aviation strategy and product range. Prior to Vertis, she was working as Policy Advisor for the Spanish Civil Aviation Authority. She was responsible for files such as EU ETS on aviation and involved in the ICAO process for the development of CORSIA scheme, at technical and political level. She supported coordination among EU States representing the Spanish competent authority vis-à-vis European institutions, industry associations and other stakeholders and participated in European funded projects on biofuels for aviation. Africa started her professional career in a Spanish airline association where she worked as legal advisor on aviation-related policy issues. She holds a degree in Law, with a specialization in International and European Law and Aviation Regulations.

Perumal provides senior technical advice on substantive technical issues relating to quantification of mitigation benefits across various sectors, including that of the aviation-related mitigation methodologies. At UNFCCC, he also leads and supports intergovernmental negotiations process on all international co-operative and market related mechanisms and issues under the Kyoto Protocol (CDM review, CDM guidance and JI guidance) and the Paris Agreement (Article 6). He has participated in the ICAO process as a GMTF and AFTF expert from UNFCCC on issues related to CORSIA. Prior joining the UNFCCC, he was consecutively for four years elected from the Asia pacific region as expert member to support four technical bodies under the CDM – Executive Board.

Montserrat was appointed ERA Director General on 1 November 2017. She is responsible to ERA’s board for the delivery and implementation of ERA’s strategy as well as the policy and technical work of the association. Under her leadership, ERA is highlighting the aviation sector’s vital contribution to Europe’s future economic prosperity, particularly in the regions of Europe. Montserrat travels extensively within Europe, meeting with policy-making bodies such as EASA, the European Commission, Eurocontrol and the European Parliament and Council, as well as ERA members. Montserrat previously worked at ERA member airline Binter as Director of International Development and Industry Affairs, focusing on the airline’s regulatory needs and international development.

John Battaglia is a Senior Vice President and Head of Carbon Markets at inter-dealer broker BGC Partners. Based in San Francisco, John manages the longest standing carbon brokerage desk, BGC Environmental Brokerage Services L.P. (formerly CantorCO2e). For the past 10 years, John has facilitated trades in a variety of physical and financially-settled carbon products, globally. Through comprehensive market coverage, John advises a broad customer base (power, utilities, project developers, financials, industrials, oil & gas, and corporates) to make informed trading decisions that reduce compliance costs while maximizing revenue. John facilitates voice-brokered trades in liquid, regulated derivative carbon markets such as California Carbon Allowances (CCAs), but also specializes in OTC structures products that enable end users/producers to efficiently hedge their carbon price/market risk. John’s market expertise spans Alberta/California/Quebec, LCFS, RGGI, and all active US and international voluntary markets. Prior to BGC Partners, John was a Director of carbon markets (and most recently, Head of Canadian carbon markets) at Evolution Markets. John holds an MPA in Environmental Policy from Columbia University in New York.

Susanne is the Director of the Griffith Institute for Tourism at Griffith University in Australia. She has published widely on sustainable tourism, climate change and tourism resource use and was a contributing author to the Fourth and the Fifth Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Assessment Reports. Susanne is a member of the Air New Zealand Sustainability Advisory Panel, PATA’s Sustainability and Social Responsibility committee, and the Whitsunday Climate Change Innovation Hub.

Sara started in the field as a researcher of climate change impacts on wildlife. Looking to where she could personally make the greatest impact, she moved her career towards business sustainability and corporate change. Sara previously led the sustainability programme for a system of hospitals and is always interested in discussing the similarities between health care and aviation industries! At JetBlue, she manages various aircraft fuel savings projects, a domestic onboard recycling programme, and the electric GSE initiative, and supports JetBlue’s growing biofuels work and environmental social governance strategy development. Sara was selected as one of GreenBiz’s 2016 ‘30 under 30 – Emerging Sustainability Leaders’ winners

Kylie joined TUI in 2008 and works with a network of sustainability managers to drive policies and steer TUI Group towards greater sustainability. The pursuit of sustainable tourism has today become integral to TUI Group’s strategy, product positioning and risk management. The Group’s ‘Better Holidays, Better World’ sustainability strategy – 2015-2020 – publicly commits the business to drive challenging environmental improvements, sustainable hotel and excursion targets, and ambitious community investment programmes – the latter delivered through the TUI Care Foundation, for which Kylie is a member of the Advisory Committee

Robert holds the position of Senior Manager, Aviation Environment, within the Environment department at IATA leading the airline efforts towards sustainable aviation fuel, with the aim to increase global deployment while addressing policy, economic, sustainability and logistic challenges. Robert serves as a member of the United Nations ICAO Alternative Fuels Task Force, particularly focusing on policy and how sustainable alternative jet fuel will be recognized under CORSIA. He also sits on the advisory board of Canada’s Biojet Supply Chain Initiative (CBSCI) and is a Director of the Round Table on Sustainable Biomaterials. Prior to joining IATA Robert was the Head Economist for Virgin Australia Airlines.

Anna has worked at Airbus for 10 years. She has built up experience in the Loads and Aeroelastics branch of aircraft design in that time, working on A350-900 and A350-1000. More recently she was involved from concept to certification of the fuel efficient A330neo. In July, Anna moved to work on E-Fan X supporting the design of the aircraft from a loads and aeroelastics point of view. She is excited about a greener future for aviation, harnessing the latest technologies and innovations.

Martin joined Öko-Institut’s Energy and Climate Protection division in 1994 as Research Fellow and has headed the Berlin branch of the division since 2008. In 2006, he was visiting researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA. In 2009, he finished his PhD on Emissions Trading and Innovation. For many years he has been working on national and international climate policies, with specific focus on new market-based mechanisms as well as on instruments to address greenhouse gas emissions from international maritime transport and aviation. Since 2008, he has been a member of the German delegation for the UNFCCC climate change talks, focusing on offset mechanisms (CDM, JI) and international aviation and maritime transport (bunker fuels). From 2012 to 2014 he was a member of the Executive Board of the Clean Development Mechanism under the UNFCCC

In July 2015 Jonathon became Group Head of Sustainability for the International Airlines Group with responsibility for the group sustainability strategy across the Groups’ four airlines British Airways, Iberia, Vueling and Aer Lingus. In January 2016 Jonathon was also appointed the Chair of the International Airline Transport Association Environment Committee and in June 2017 re-selected as Chair until 2019. In 2013 Jonathon took over the Chair of Sustainable Aviation, the leading UK aviation industry consortium of airlines, airports, manufacturers and UK Air Traffic Control authority driving improvements in the sustainability performance of the sector. Jonathon was previously BA’s Head of Environment, appointed in December 2007 with responsibility for developing and implementing BA’s strategy on all issues relating to the Environment including Climate Change, Air Quality, Noise and Waste.

VERIFAVIA is a worldwide independent environmental accredited verification, certification and auditing body for aviation (airlines and business jets), airports and maritime transport (shipping and ports). It is the world’s leading verifier for aviation as the company verifies each year about 30% of the world’s airlines in the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS). VERIFAVIA also provides training and pre-verification audits for ICAO’s CORSIA to airlines and business jet operators.

Gilles covers international carbon market negotiations for Carbon Market Watch. He follows the development of Article 6 at the UNFCCC, promoting the design of a fair and ambitious mechanism, and participates as a technical expert in the design of CORSIA. He also closely follows carbon pricing developments, particularly in the EU. Gilles holds a Master of Science in Environmental Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Frederic has been Airbus Sustainable Aviation Engagement Programme Manager since May 2011 within the Environmental Affairs department. In this role, Frederic manages all the Airbus Projects and partnerships on sustainability for aviation and emissions reduction. He also contributes to all initiatives in conformance to the Airbus New Energies strategy and Sustainable Fuels projects. Frederic started his career in Toulouse (1987) working in Biometrics for an agronomic and seed selection. He joined another company (1991) to take the lead of a Business Unit for IS Project Management and Consulting activities. He joined Airbus (2002) in Concurrent Engineering Department playing a significant role in Process and Tools harmonization in developing new Product Data Management for Electricity and Systems Configuration Management (CM) for the A380, A400M and A350 Programmes.

Previous to leading IETA, Dirk was Managing Director at Natsource LLC, the manager of one of the world’s largest carbon funds. Earlier in his career, he served as Chairman of the White House Climate Change Task Force in the Clinton Administration, serving President Clinton. Prior to that, he was Assistant U.S. Secretary of Energy for Congressional, Public and Intergovernmental Affairs; and Legislative Counsel to Congressman Jim Cooper. He was also Energy Program Manager at Environmental Defense Fund. He now serves on the Board of Directors of the Verified Carbon Standard and as a member of the Advisory Boards of the National Center for Atmospheric Research and the American Carbon Registry.

Angela is an environmental attorney and recently started her own consulting firm, providing support to both for-profit and non-profit entities on climate policy, carbon markets, aviation biofuels and other environmental strategies. She is working with two non-profit organizations in developing innovative carbon offset projects. Previously Managing Director Environmental Affairs & Sustainability at United Airlines, Angela led development of United’s environmental strategy and she and her team were responsible for United’s environmental policy, sustainability measures, alternative fuels strategy and regulatory compliance. She was engaged at ICAO in supporting the development of CORSIA, including as an expert in the Emissions Unit Criteria group and also in the MRV group. Other leadership positions include Vice Chair of IATA’s Environment Committee and Chair of A4A’s International Noise and Emissions Committee.

Michael is Executive Director of the Air Transport Action Group (ATAG), the only global association that represents all sectors of the air transport industry. Its mission is to promote aviation’s sustainable growth for the benefit of global society. He was appointed as Director, Aviation Environment of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in November 2013, with responsibility for developing and implementing IATA’s work in the environment field, particularly in the areas of climate change, noise, biofuel commercialization and the IATA environmental assessment programme. Prior to that, he spent six years as senior legal counsel in IATA, supporting IATA’s external affairs portfolio. In that role, he led IATA’s delegation to three ICAO diplomatic conferences on airline regulatory and security issues. Before joining IATA in May 2007, Michael was an aviation lawyer in private practice at the Paris Bar, acting for airlines and their insurers.

Julie was elected as a Conservative Member of the European Parliament for South West England and Gibraltar in 2009 and successfully re-elected for a second term in 2014. She currently sits on the Committees for Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, Agriculture and for Women’s Rights and Gender Equality. She also sits on the Delegation for relations with South East Asia and has previously served as Chief Whip for the Conservatives in the European Parliament. Formerly a member of the European Conservatives & Reformists Group, she has recently moved to become a member of the European People’s Party Group (EPP), the Group the Conservatives in the European Parliament were members of until 2009 when the ECR Group was created. Julie has recently been rapporteur for both the ETS Phase IV and the Aviation ETS files.

Natalia is Sales Director Carbon & Renewables at South Pole. She helps corporations to achieve renewable energy targets and manage their carbon footprint. Previously, Natalia was a Senior Portfolio Manager at the emissions desk of energy companies Essent and RWE and Consultant in climate strategies at ICF International. She holds a MSc Environmental Management from Oxford University and an economics degree from Bocconi University. Natalia has Russian and Italian nationality.

Matthew has been Sustainability & Environment Director at Heathrow for the last 10 years. He leads the team that developed ‘Heathrow 2.0’, the airport’s leadership plan for sustainable growth, launched in 2017. He is a member of the company’s leadership team and played a key role in developing the new approach to expansion – putting local communities and environment at the heart of the airport’s growth plans. Matthew works closely with community, business and government stakeholders in the UK, Europe and internationally. He chairs the Heathrow Community Noise Forum, engaging a range of neighbouring boroughs He is a Council member and past Chair of Sustainable Aviation, a unique coalition of UK airlines, aircraft and engine manufacturers and airports which promotes cleaner, quieter, smarter flying. He has represented the global airports industry in the International Civil Aviation Organisation’s working group on aviation and climate change, and Heathrow on the Prince of Wales’s Corporate Leaders Group on Climate Change since its foundation in 2005.

Andreas is Managing Director of Hardeman Consulting, an independent Swiss-based consultancy specialized in providing strategic corporate advice and sustainability solutions in emerging aviation and aerospace markets. Prior to this, Andreas represented the interests of global airlines in many industry and government fora, including the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the UN ICAO Environment Committee (CAEP), UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC), the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC). Areas of specific expertise include international air and space law, sustainable development, environment and energy strategy, climate change policy, CORSIA implementation and UN negotiations.

Andrew has held the position of Director General of the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) since 2004. AAPA is the leading trade organization for international airlines based in the Asia-Pacific region, addressing a wide range of both regional and global policy issues affecting the industry. AAPA works closely with regulators and other industry associations with the aim of fostering the sustainable growth of international civil aviation, and ensuring that Asia Pacific perspectives help to shape more effective global aviation policies. Andrew previously held a number of senior positions with the Swire Group, Cathay Pacific Airways and other aviation related companies based in the Asia Pacific region. He is a graduate of Oxford University.

Helen Howes has over 20 years of experience in environmental compliance, including carbon markets, in Canada and the USA. While at Delta Air Lines, she was responsible for preparing annual compliance reports for EU ETS, for the US EPA under Title V of The Clean Air Act, and fuel reports to the US DOT. In addition, she was responsible for fuel and GHG emissions reporting to IATA, CDP, and verifying and reporting GHG emissions to an NGO-operated registry in California. She has held industry leadership roles as Vice Chair and then Chair of IATA’s Environment Committee, as well as a member of IATA’s delegation to ICAO’s Global Market-Based Measures (GMBM) Task, contributing to Emission Unit Eligibility Criteria and MRV work.

Since her appointment in 2008, Kati has been designing and managing Finnair’s corporate responsibility strategy and integrating sustainability issues into Finnair’s competitive strategy. Previously, Kati worked as Finnair’s Alliance Director for oneworld affairs; Manager for Bilateral agreements; Controller for Service and Quality for Stations abroad. In her current role, Kati leads the development and execution of company-wide strategic sustainability initiatives, while integrating corporate responsibility into business-critical processes throughout the company. Kati’s responsibilities include ensuring that sustainable development efforts enhance Finnair’s business performance and support the company’s strategy along with the long-term interests of multiple stakeholders. Additionally, she is responsible for the continuous development of Finnair’s corporate responsibility reporting and communication. Kati is also a member of the Environmental Committee and chair of Corporate Sustainability Taskforce for IATA.

Katerina joined the carbon markets in 2011 and is currently head of the Central and Eastern European trading desk at Vertis, servicing clients under the EU Emission Trading System. Katerina is responsible for overlooking structured derivatives transactions and advises on carbon markets and hedging strategies to large industrial and aviation clients. Katerina is also leading Vertis’ new division focused on the voluntary carbon markets and beyond compliance corporate climate action. Katerina holds a diploma in Economics and a Masters in Finance from CEU Business School.

Beata is Director for Aviation & Airports at VERIFAVIA, the world’s leading verifier for aviation. Beata is also an ICAO CORSIA expert and trainer, and an EU ETS & Airport Carbon lead verifier. She holds a masters degree in International Air Transport Operations Management from ENAC (Ecole Nationale de l’Aviation Civile, France). She has several years of working experience in supporting roles in aviation, notably at Airbus, Travel Service and TNT Express Worldwide. Beata has performed more than 60 aircraft CO2 emission verifications for airlines, cargo operators, charter operators and business jet operators under the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS). She has also provided CORSIA training courses to more than 20 airlines.

After positions in various organisations, including the European Commission, with a focus on environmental technology and regulations, Michael joined the Ministry in 2003 as a senior inspector responsible for the national coordination of inspections on water quality. After a brief period at the international affairs directorate, he started working in the field of civil aviation in 2007. From the start, the environmental topics with a focus on climate change formed a major part of his portfolio. Since 2012, Michael is member for the Netherlands of the environment committee of ICAO (CAEP) and closely involved in the work on CORSIA.

Stefano manages EUROCONTROL’s support functions related to the EU ETS and ICAO’s CORSIA and delivered, via EUROCONTROL’s ETS Support Facility (ETSSF), to the European Commission, European States and to aircraft operators. Working on the EU ETS since 2005, Stefano is a member of the ICAO GMTF since its first meeting and co-leads since 2017, with the United States FAA, the GMTF CORSIA CO2 Estimation and Reporting Tool (CERT) Group (CCG) responsible for the development and implementation of the CERT. Stefano joined EUROCONTROL in 1998 to work on the definition of the European AIS Database service, the first pan-European ATM service outsourced by EUROCONTROL.

Damien is the Adviser on European and International Carbon Markets at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Climate Action. Before this he was Head of the Directorate-General’s Unit for the International Carbon Market, Aviation and Maritime, after four years as Deputy Head of the EU ETS unit. He is a solicitor of the High Court of England and Wales. Before joining the European Commission in 2001, he worked for the UK government and in private practice, as well as with the United Nations Climate Change Secretariat.

Andrew has worked on aviation policy at Transport & Environment since 2014, and prior to that he worked in the EU institutions. For T&E he covers developments at international level (ICAO and UNFCCC), legislative developments at European level and national efforts to mitigate aviation’s climate impact. He is a member of the technical working group which is developing ICAO’s offsetting mechanism CORSIA, and closely follows developments relating to carbon pricing of aviation in the EU and elsewhere. He has a law degree from the University of Ireland, Galway.

Bruce Parry is experienced in sustainability and environmental affairs with a background of working in the airlines/aviation industry. He is Senior Environment Manager for the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) and Environment Director for the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC), representing business aviation on a variety levels including as the UN Observer at ICAO’s CAEP on behalf of IBAC. He has a background in Environmental Engineering Management, Environmental Factors in Aircraft Product Development, Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability and Aerospace. Bruce has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Quality and Resource Management from University of the West of England.

Annie coordinates EDF’s advocacy efforts on international aviation. She works to develop international laws that provide economic incentives for environmental protection. Annie has been actively engaged in international climate negotiations since their inception. Prior to coming to EDF, she served in the U.S. Department of Justice, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, the United Nations Environment Programme, and the private bar. Annie teaches international trade and sustainable development law at the George Washington University Law School.

Marcelle leads the RSB’s business development team and global efforts to increase the uptake of the RSB Standard within the global business community. She also works on the RSB’s brand positioning and increasing the RSB’s visibility through its trademarks. Prior to the RSB, Marcelle served as FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)’s Business Development Director for 10 years, leading the development and growth of the business development unit, launching their new global consumer facing brand, and developing their smallholder support programme. She has worked in the NGO sector for almost 25 years. Marcelle studied Commerce in South Africa, cross-sector partnerships at Cambridge University and worked in social development in South Africa and Namibia across a wide range of issues. She is passionate about sustainability and is an alumni of the Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership.

Pedro has been working for EDF’s Climate and Energy programme since 2007. His areas of expertise include EU and global climate and energy policy, REDD+, aviation emissions, sustainable biofuels and the design of cap-and-trade programmes and other policy instruments. In the context of ICAO, Pedro has participated in the design of CORSIA since 2013, contributing on the following areas: allocation of offsetting obligations, monitoring reporting and verification, emissions unit criteria, and sustainable aviation fuels. He is currently the co-lead of the task group working on sustainability matters related to sustainable aviation fuels within the Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection.

Andrew is Executive Director of Green Aviation, an environmental-purpose organization developing innovative solutions for the aviation industry. His career in the aviation sector includes 20 years with IATA and British Airways where he gained extensive business, operations, project and finance experience. Andrew is also a director at Avocet Risk Management who advise the air finance sector, and at Aviation Carbon Events. He participates in the Roundtable on Sustainable Biofuels, is a member of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals, and is a member of the Royal Geographical Society. Andrew is based in Europe and advises and delivers for organizations globally.

Dan is the Program Director for Marine and Aviation at the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT). In that capacity, he’s represented ICCT at meetings of ICAO’s Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection since 2008. He leads a diverse research programme on measures to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gases from the aviation sector. That work includes fuel efficiency rankings for U.S. domestic and international flights, aircraft fuel efficiency technology assessments, and modelling of the environmental performance of emerging supersonic transport aircraft. Dan holds a B.A. in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota at Morris and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering and Science from Stanford University.

With over 25 years’ experience in the aviation industry, Mike is co-founder of private aircraft charter marketplace Victor. Here, he heads up Commercial and Flight Operations teams and is responsible for the contractual and operational processes for Victor members. Mike drives a strategy to ensure Victor offers the best operators, aircraft types and pricing, whilst delivering world-class customer service. He also co-directs a market-leading carbon offset programme with Air BP and BP Target Neutral, which offsets the fuel of Victor charters and provides a unique selling point and powerful voice for environmental change within the private aviation market. In 2006, he set up aircraft operator One Charter – listed on the Plus Markets. Mike has been with Victor since its inception in 2009 and provides invaluable experience and advice to the company and its varied stakeholders.

Michael has 20 years of experience in the airline operational and finance sector and currently works within the IATA aviation environment team based in Geneva. In his position he continues to be a major contributor in key industry projects and plays an important role when it comes to the development of innovative airline solutions. In 2012 he became the head of IATA’s Fuel Reporting & Emissions Database (FRED), tracking the aviation sector’s fuel efficiency improvements and CO2 emissions reductions. In past years he has been closely participating in ICAO’s expert groups to help define the technical requirements for CORSIA. In 2018, Michael developed and launched the FRED+ system to assist airline operators and state authorities with the data reporting requirements under CORSIA.

Margaret-Ann is currently the Executive Director of CMIA and is one of the authors of an independent report conducted by Ricardo Energy & Environment for the UK Department of Transport entitled ‘Carbon abatement in UK aviation’ released in October 2017. Before joining CMIA, Margaret-Ann provided carbon origination, advisory, risk management and procurement services to compliance entities with carbon exposure in the EU ETS. She also provided origination, advisory and procurement services for voluntary credits for corporates. Margaret-Ann has over twenty years’ experience in financial markets trading at a number of leading brokerage firms in bonds, interest rate swaps & options and credit default swaps. She holds a MSc in Environmental Policy and Regulation from the London School of Economics and is a Fellow at the Royal Geographical Society.

Rob is Head of Partnerships at ClimateCare, a world-leading B Corp working with corporate and government partners to deliver award-winning climate, environment and development programmes. He is the current co-chair of the IETA Aviation Task Force and a past co-chair of the International Carbon Reduction and Offset Alliance (ICROA). He has worked in the carbon markets for over ten years, some of which was spent at J.P. Morgan advising airline clients on EU ETS strategy. Rob started his career in aviation, latterly as Head of Sales in the UK for Lufthansa.

Naomi is responsible for ensuring continued and growing uptake and impact of Verra standards. She also provides strategic input to the ongoing development of standards frameworks and works to establish and oversee key partnerships, including with donors, host countries and business and NGO partners. Naomi has been with Verra since 2009 and previously served as the Director for Land-based Frameworks. She oversaw the development of the Landscape Standard, the Jurisdictional and Nested REDD+ (JNR) framework, and managed the evolution of the Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFOLU) Requirements, which is now the preeminent global carbon accounting standard for REDD projects.

Since the start of the company in 2010, Theye has been the CFO and managing director at SkyNRG. SkyNRG is the world market leader in sustainable aviation fuels, having supplied over 25 airlines on all continents. It takes care of all operations (from fuel sourcing to airport delivery), guarantees sustainability throughout the supply chain and helps to co-fund the premium for sustainable aviation fuel. Theye is Co-founder and President of the Swedish based Fly Green Fund, a non-for profit organization that supports the acceleration of Sustainable Aviation Fuels. He has 20 years of experience in realizing new initiatives and building ventures.

César is an independent aviation and environment consultant currently supporting the Spanish Air Safety Agency (AESA) through the state company SENASA. Between 2014 and 2018 he was with the ICAO Technical Cooperation Bureau as Project Coordinator providing technical support to the Indonesia Civil Aviation Authority on its State Action Plan, the development of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), implementing CORSIA and supporting the country’s contributions to ICAO CAEP. Nominated by Spain, he is co-chairing the ICAO CAEP Alternative Fuels Task Force. He has worked with Airbus on several SAF initiatives and been involved with three European SAF projects: the Spanish Bioqueroseno Initiative, ITAKA and CORE-JetFuel.

Jessica is responsible for driving demand in emerging carbon markets including CORSIA. Ecosphere+ protects forests and natural ecosystems around the world, which is one of the most immediate and cost-effective ways to combat climate change. She’s been at the intersection of environment and finance for over a decade, working in the British Columbia government designing some of North America’s first carbon pricing mechanisms. She then worked with the founding team to launch Evok Innovations, a private sector $100 million fund that invests in clean technologies to reduce greenhouse gases, followed by rolling up her sleeves in a cleantech startup to raise capital and develop the go-to market strategy.

Eva has over 14 years of experience in the business and environmental sector. At IETA she is responsible for membership development and recruitment. Prior to joining IETA she worked as an Investment Advisor for EEA Fund Management, managing carbon project valuation and risk assessment for an AIM listed carbon emissions fund. Eva also held a key role at the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic implementing the EU Emissions Trading System. She holds a masters degree in Economics, with specialization in International Trade.

An environmental attorney with over 25 years of experience, Nancy directs the A4A environmental sustainability programmes, represents the A4A airlines in international negotiations regarding aircraft noise and emissions standards, and provides counsel on other environmental issues of significance. She serves on the Steering Group and as environmental co-lead of the Commercial Aviation Alternative Fuels Initiative (CAAFI), which is working to hasten the deployment of commercially viable, environmentally preferred alternative jet fuels, and the Advisory Committee of the Aviation Sustainability Center (ASCENT). In addition, she participates in the working groups under ICAO’s Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection and serves on the Board of the Air Transport Action Group (ATAG). In 2015, Nancy was appointed by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to serve on his High-Level Advisory Group for Sustainable Transport. The Advisory Group concluded its work in late 2016 with the launch of its analysis and recommendations report, ‘Mobilizing Sustainable Transport for Development’.
